I took a bit of time to look up how the words he gave his sons corresponded to the future characteristics of the tribes of Israel, and they do follow through! For example, you can compare his word over Benjamin - that he is a ravenous wolf - to the Benjamites who kidnapped all those ladies from Shiloh. You can find other parallels if you look it up in a commentary. The one I use, that I bought back in Bible school, is the “Bible Knowledge Commentary.”
