The Cup
Genesis 44
August 6, 2020
One thing I was confused about in this passage was how Joseph didn't seem too concerned with debunking any preconceptions that he used a cup to divine the future, when before he had said to Pharaoh that God was the one who gave him insight. The apparent explanation for this is that his Egyptian servants were under the impression that he used the cup to divine the future, and he states, "don't you know that I can divine things," more in a general sense. I dunno. Wish that had been a bit more clear.
