My season at Millar College of the Bible is coming to an end.
I will be a student here for 40 more days, then I will enter into the rest of my life.
Before I talk about the prospective future, I will give a nod and thanks to the past. In 2013 I came to Millar with a passion for missions and unrepentant sin. God used first year to show me myself, and myself was bad. In second year God showed me who I was in Christ, which was good! He showed me that I didn’t need to consult bad Kyla when I made decisions. He showed me I was as good as perfect in his eyes. In third year He gave me some victories for free, as a gift. In all three years he gave me a mission: to stand up for Truth in Love.
And that’s what I want to do with my whole life.
I know I can do that literally wherever I am in the world. It’s not a location-specific calling, like most God-given callings. I can tell the Truth ANYWHERE! However, there is an opportunity in a specific location that piques my interest.
Do you remember a few years ago, when I was part of a school for cartooning and animation for missions? There I was, a mere sapling, being taught that yes! Art can be used to glorify God, and more specifically, it can be used to teach and inspire others to glorify God! Then I went to Bible school, where I learned that the Bible IS VERY BIG and so much more than I had previously thought! God is so much better than I previously thought! In fact, He’s so much better than I CURRENTLY THINK! What’s more… HE LOVES ME! How can I keep from telling the world about the Great Lord Jesus?
I wish I could communicate the depth of feeling I have as I write these words. I can’t think of any better way to spend my life than to serve the Lord. With all that in mind, here’s the plan:
Using my artistic skill, and my newly acquired theological knowhow (it’s not exhaustive, but it’s enough to inspire me to keep reading the Bible forever!), I am planning to STAFF the school of cartooning and animation for missions under the prestigious Dave Hudson in Taiwan next year, starting in March.
Here’s how you can work with me to spread the Good News to the unreached peoples of the world:
Pray that God gives me a passion for compassion. I lean heavily towards the Truth side of standing up for Truth in Love. I desire a greater and greater love for the unreached, and I believe in a God who listens to prayer.
Pray for God’s provision. I know that God is ultra-generous, and I know he will care for me. However, I believe that if YOU pray for God’s provision, you’ll be really encouraged to see your prayer answered 🙂 just as I’ll be encouraged to be on my way to Asia again.
I will be updating you all on my journey. I’m at the end of a very pleasant chapter in my life, and am entering a new and exciting chapter. I’m very excited, and I pray that it will be a fruitful chapter in the Kingdom. Praise the Lord!
